Parent/teen Communication - facilitators' training course

OCN training 'Parent/teen communication' course being offered free by ACET for people in the Belfast Trust Area

This workshop style course will be beneficial for those wishing to develop and extend their knowledge and skills in the area of parent/teen communication as part of their role in the wider community in the Belfast Trust area.

Topics include:

- Exploring practical ways that communication between parents and teenagers may be enhanced

- Issues around puberty and sexual health

- Training and facilitation skills


This course has been accredited by the Open College Network (OCN) with 6 credits at Level 3.

To complete this accreditation requires full attendance at the 4 training days.

Who should apply?

Applications are welcome from those who have successfully completed Level 2 Parent/Teen communication course, or from those who can demonstrate recent experience of working with parents in either statutory or voluntary sectors of BHSCT. Restricted to 10 participants.

Training Costs?

ACET has been funded by the Public Health Agency and the Belfast Trust to provide this accredited course in the Belfast Area and therefore ACET can provide this course free of

charge to the course participants.

Dates for 2015

The course will run on Thursdays: 12th 19th 26th November and 3rd December from 9.30am - 2.30pm.

All training days will be held at CFC Belmont Road Belfast, BT4 2AN
