Essentials is a day for all those working with children and young people, to get essential training on how to work with your young people , how to set up your programme for the year ahead and learn basic essential skills in talking, teaching and communicating.

A full day of great teaching, learning and networking hosted by CIYD (Church of Ireland Youth Department) alongside Down and Dromore Diocese and Connor Diocese

Where: St Brigid's church of Ireland, Glengormley  48 Ballyclare road, Glengormley Bt36 5HL

When: Saturday 20th September

Time: 10am - 3:30pm  [Registration opens at 9:30am]

Cost: £15 [inclusive of lunch, goodie bag and all resources] - Payment can be made on the day

Key Note speaker: Rick Hill  He is the Youth Director at Carnmoney Church and has previously worked for Scripture Union N.I as Secondary Schools Project Worker.

2. Sunday school essentials - ideas, resources, programmes and strategies for strengthening and improving your children's ministry

3. Delivering talks to children and young people - basic skills in preparing and delivering talks

4. Growth in youth ministry - ideas and strategies for growing your youth ministry through in-reach and out-reach

4. Working with children with special needs - steps for you to help a child with special needs in understanding, participation and behaviour and also developing realistic expectations for your ministry
