Family Time Book Launch
Last month saw the launch of brand new resource aimed at supporting faith at home called ‘Family Time’. It’s a devotional book written for families that might struggle to find the time to sit down with children to talk about every-day issues and faith. It contains 2 basic sections; the first one on advice for simple, everyday prayers and the second one containing a variety of 99 family devotions designed to be able to be completed in around 10 minutes with little preparation

The launch was the latest in a series of events that have seen 17,000 copies of the book distributed free across Ireland so far this year and part of a wider drive to support family life. And while the production of the book has been heavily subsidised by the Church of Ireland it is available free to any family that wants one. When the author, Andrew Brannigan, was asked whether this meant any family with children could just pick up a copy he replied. “Yes it does. Churches recognise that many families can’t afford to buy devotional books and so the vision behind this is that they are given as a free gift. Any family that wants one can call into our bookshop for a free copy or alternatively order or download a copy from the www.familyfaith.co.uk website. We would also love to work with churches and others to see as many of these books given away as possible.”
